Introducation:

Do you want to know where to stay in Singapore? Here is the ultimate guide to where to stay in
Singapore. This guide includes guides on the most popular neighborhoods in Singapore and our top
hotel picks for all price ranges.
Singapore may seem like a short flight if you are flying in from the US, Europe or Australia. It is the
least "Asian" looking of all Asian nations. The radio hosts will speak English and the cab drivers will
insist you wear your seatbelt. Prices are also as high as at home.
Singapore’s ethnic roots, charm and diversity are revealed when you delve a bit deeper. Singapore,
a small island state, has many neighborhoods that are unique and offers a wide range of
accommodation. Deciding where to stay can be a daunting task.
Walking between the various neighborhoods in Singapore is like visiting different cultures and
countries. The vibrant and colorful Little India, the hipster-like Kampong Glam and the huge
shopping malls on Orchard Road are just a few of the many neighborhoods in Singapore. There is
also the futuristic Marina Bay with its impressively posh buildings, the nightlife at the Quays and
Colonial District as well as the beach and entertainment hub Sentosa Island, which includes
Universal Studios.
Singapore was our first stopover after we finished studying in Australia. We were on our way to
Norway. This exciting city immediately captured our hearts. We visit Singapore almost every time we
travel to Asia. Bus services like First Coach bus and Transtar Travel Pte Ltd provide good
connectivity to Singapore from Malaysia.
To book your tickets, you can log in to bus ticketing portals like redbus.sg and others to plan your
journey in advance.
We have long wanted to write more about Singapore. We did not want our past experiences to guide
us, as things can change quickly. We booked a flight to Singapore and spent one month exploring
the city in a way we had never done before.
This guide to the best places to stay in Singapore, with all of the hidden gems that we found, is the
result. We reveal our favorite areas in Singapore and the reasons why. Top-end, mid-range, and
budget hotels are listed for each region.
Last Updates: In February 2024, we visited Singapore to update the guide to Singapore’s top hotels
and areas. Our goal was to check if some of our old favorites were still in business. We also found
some new favorites, which we are happy to share! Katong is a newly developed area that has been
gaining popularity with tourists.
